We go through this discussion every year. Even though tis the season... I personally feel it's too early for coons.
I won't start till thanksgiving weekend. Otherwise blue pelts.
and with it being 80 degrees today, and 60 degrees at night, I can't imagine any movement..

When do you guys start ?

Just a weekend trapper...

Caught two incidental boar coon a couple days ago. One was blue, the other turning white.
Thanksgiving is good if I want mostly white leather pelts here.
Wish mine would average a little more. I'm guessing $2 - $5 this year put up for good leather larger coon. I'll probably catch 15-20 for something to keep busy with around thanksgiving if my greatgrandaughter wants to be involved

Interesting there’s a season on them. I wish more people trapped in Texas. We have more coons than we know what to do with.

I always start the first full weekend. I know they're not at their best, but now have decent leather, and I only trap on the weekends so my trapping time is already limited.

Starting After thanksgiving here too.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Caught 2 in coyote sets. Both are white leather and full fur.
