Way to go Trap!
My oldest grandson got his First deer tonight.. his dad & I were both there to see it..Trap is only 6 we bought him and Steel ( his little brother) matching 6.5 creedmoor rifles and death grip tripods for Christmas last yr. Anyway Trap was shaking like a leaf and nearly hyperventilating LOL I got him to calm down and he made a perfect shot and dropped her in her tracks. I was just about excited as he was. The size didn't matter it was the experience that will last a lifetime. [Linked Image]

This was the exact spot that his momma ( my daughter) killed her first deer. But she was a teen when she got it done with a bow. She was married and was 9 months pregnant with Trap when she killed her 1st muzzleloader buck. These boys have been in the woods ever since they were born. Both their parents and grandparents hunt Trap & fish. Absolutely no video games outside in the dirt every day.

Wonderful congratulations to the young man and family. Thanks for the story and memory recall. Your talking about him shaking reminded me of my youngest on his first deer when it came out. Luckily she was beyond the limit I would let him shoot so he had long enough to get calmed down before she got with his 100 yards limit I set. I touched his back and could feel him shaking just like you said he was.

There is absolutely nothing better than seeing and hearing about Youngsters success. Sure makes my day. really extra cool it's the same place his mom got her first deer.
