I get the Kirkland brand cases from 3 bears for gas motors (the wife's car, my half ton, etc.). I use Schaeffers in my diesels

If it is what I am using Phillips 66 changed the name to Shield now - same synthetic blend. Orscheln which is now Bomgaars is where I last purchased it. You can still find Shield though maybe not at Orscheln.

Long intervals are fine if you start out that way on a new car. I wouldn't buy a used vehicle with 100k miles on it and an unknown history and wait 12k between oil changes though.
