Looking forward to seeing some marten action!
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Geez I miss Marten trapping. It is tough to get excited about gearing up for them when the limit is two.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Had a bear messing with my traps today on the line. He carried away a mink box.dont know where he took it but must have been far.Maybe he wanted it for a pillow when he beds down for winter. I hope he doesnt blunder into a wolf snare.

I’m out playing in the snow. I sure feel for you guys that trap in this all the time. Everything seems harder. I did get into some good marten country yesterday, the snow was over my knees, had to dig the truck out once. Have been setting a few coyote traps too but it sure slows things down. Next nine days shows nice weather so all my sets will look different. Thinking this might not be the most successful week of trapping for me. Have seen one small bear track hope it goes the other way. They are a pain. I’ll try and get some pictures as the week goes on.

Snow?!?!? Holy smokes! All I had here was some frost!

I looked for it for a couple hundred yards all around-gone. Usually they pick up the box and carry it a ways until the big chunk of beaver meat falls out, then they drop the box(sometimes crushed) and eat the beaver. I hate bears that start checking my trapline in November.

Looks good! I sure hope we get more snow & cold than last winter….it was brutal. I had a couple badly tainted wolves that didn’t make it to auction, but I was able to find a place for them.
