Caught this guy and he buried himself



Set was a tiny mouse size dirt hole set.

I knew what this was before I opened the thread! LOL He is dug in like a tick!!

I have only caught a handful of them over the years but I almost felt compelled to put an outhouse over the trap site when it was all over. Those buggers sure can dig a hole!

I bought some deer hunting property and caught a badger on first set made on it.

We catch at least one a year. Not fun letting them go! Usually they make a bigger mess and they stink.

Wow, cool to see, but bad for you having to deal with it.

Part of the deal. They are easy to let out of trap compared to the bobcats which we only have a small window to catch and only allowed one.

I caught one years ago in early December. It stunk to high heaven but I washed it and put it up. I shipped it to NAFA and got a Top Lot for it at around $150 as I recall.

Wow! I never got that much for one. It must have been a very big nice prime one.

I never use badger lure put make it for a few friends that have never caught one.

Yep when catch one of those looks like someone turned an excavator loose.

I never really notice the smell....BUT!!!

Most times for me they dig the stake out but just stay put, they could easily run off with the trap but don't anyone else have this experience
