Howdy folks,
I have been absent from here for awhile because of work and health issues. I am supposed to be retired, but a new career has kept me busy.
Hopefully you folks have suggestions who to contact and where to go for this adventure.
So now i am looking for an opportunity to go on an adventure to accompany someone on their trapline in Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, or the Yukon. I am primarily interested in trapping wolves, lynx, wolverine, and marten. Of course would enjoy the rest too. Would also like the opportunity to hunt over a bait for wolves.
Of course, this would be a paying arrangement. Maybe someone who guides already provides this.
There are plenty on the internet who advertise this, but nobody i know.
So does anyone have suggestions?
I will post this over on the wilderness section.
Thanks for any suggestions of who to go with and even who to avoid.
Best wishes!

Paul Trepus in BC knows the game… https://www.inzanaoutfitters.com/trapline-adventures/
It ain’t cheap though! Yikes! Can Americans get import permits for a wolf?
This is more of a 7 day course, but you’ll never beat this price for a 7 day trip to Alberta! $1050 Canadian pesos includes food & lodging.

Bruce - hopefully you can make it next year. However, i am not postponing anything after the past couple years around here.

Heck we even upgraded the internet from the type powered by monkeys pedaling bicycles. Part of President Roosevelt’s new program - internet for Appalachia. Although it doesn’t actually work yet - it still needs to be built, sort of like those 50,000 charging stations.
