Anybody have any oic of coyotes in them? Using mostly for fox but yotes are in area. Something got in one this morning and pulled out of bed but empty trap and only white looking hair. Trying to see how well they hold. Thanks

Hair in your trap is often a result of the animals rolling on your set. Usually caused by the lure or bait choice.

Never knew that.

Early season I had trouble with the more rotted smelling lures and baits. I don't know what that that lure smells like.

As stated … could be deer or a roller… reset and keep on keeping on

Insert profound nonsense here

I love a bait or lure they want to roll on. Just have use a set that you catch them before they roll on it. They always put their nose right up to it before they try to roll on it.

in this country most sprung traps that are pulled from the bed and at end of the chain are deer. if the trap is waxed about 95% of the time you can see the scrape from the hoof across the pan or where it peeled wax off the inside of the jaw.

Here is a lesson to help yourself.

I like to keep a notepad of every set I make. On those notes,

- Location, however you want to list, I use my GPS mark #. ( you can just use fence gap, near big Oak tree)
- type of set, dirthole, flat, blind, snare, whatever you did
- trap & anchor, #2 & pogo anchor, or #4 on drag
- bait, whatever bait, if used
- lure, whatever kind, if used

- and catches made at this set

- then a BIG X if I pulled this set, when done.

Good luck, keep trapping
