Take this anecdotal instance with a grain of salt. In the mid 90's I had a friend who was diagnosed with lymphoma, he declined treatment, he knew others who had it and he said that the treatment killed nearly every one of them. He's still kicking today.
He would tell you that prayer and/or diet has a lot to do with him being alive todayh.

Diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in 2013 being treated with meds since, 10 pills a day, yea it slows me down some and have a heck of a time running line but hasn't killed me. Hope things work out for you and don't let it bum you out, others have beat it or managed it so keep the faith and you can too.
Might find yourself loosing a bit of weight like I did,went from 180 to 135 and putting long handles on well before you used to to stay warm when others wearing shorts but as long as you're looking at the upside of the grass it is a good day

My mother was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 82. After a couple years off and on of chemo treatments, she was cancer free. She passed away when she was into her 90s from a different ailment. With all the new medical technology, survival rates are very high with various types of this disease. My prayers are with you.
My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.

I had Hodgkins lymphoma. Took chemo for 8 months. If you are gonna have lymphoma Hodgkins is the kind to have. 90 some % cure able. Not to be confused to NonHodgkins.
Taking the chemo treatments were a real pia. 4 to 5 hours 2 times a month. Its been 7 years now.
I'm doing fine as far as thats concerned.

Thank you to all my brother trappers with their prayers
and helpful, thoughtful advice regarding cancer experiences.
It has been very theraputic & supportive beyond my imagination.
I was waiting 1st in line to cast my ballot at 6AM this morning
for around the 10th election year in a row.
now looking for the next round of chemo.

Keep you're chin up young man you can and will kick cancer to the curb if I can you can as well !
Remember to do everything you can to continue eating during treatments feeding tubes aren't much fun if you stop eating like I did what a big mistake that was .
However it will keep you on the right side of the grass ha ha !
I've kept you in my prayers for a total recovery !
