I'm looking to add a few of these for coyotes this season. Anyone have any insight or preference of the regular jaw or laminate ? I'm surprised that the laminate jawed traps are cheaper than the regular jaw, especially with the extra work involved in making them...

I don't have any of the Jr's,plenty of the Extreme's.You'll want the laminate to off set the power of these great traps, there lock up is something else,be careful where you set them, avoid dog area's etc.walker's etc.close to the farmer's farm.Good luck this season.

Thanks, Rick. I'll actually be trying to catch coyotes on a 145-acre farm we just recently purchased, so unwanted catches SHOULDN'T be an issue. We've got a ton of them on the farm and their numbers need to be reduced...

They’re a great trap and very well built! I would definitely go with the laminated as well.

I run a few 2 coil juniors as well as 4 coil. I have no complaints or concerns with the laminated 2 coils. You will want the 4 coil if frozen ground is a concern.
