Do you have a hand control for your winch or just handle bar mount? I never regularly field skinned any critters but my skunks. Might have to try this trick if I ever run my ATV on line again. Last time our used my son's ranger. It doesn't have a winch, may have to put one on it

I use a rope- a-long. One end hooked to something solid, gambrel inside truck bed rail, tail gate as a starting table.

Yes I have a remote for the winch. Makes it very handy. I tied off to several cattle guard gate posts on the line. But the old tree in camp did a pretty good job.
