They are prime,look at the white weasel.
When the weasels are white the marten are prime.
Marten prime early.
Mink are also prime here now.

Yes and a better clarity than later skins.
Once catagen stage is reached the fur remains that way until telogen.
It does fade and prone to physical damage(rub,singe etc) during catagen

Checked some coon boxes today and there was a weasel running in at out of one. He was really close to being solid white. Thanks for the pictures and info Boco.

I set up 12 marten boxes two days ago on my line close to town.
Checked today had 3 marten.
I figured I would have one because when I was setting there were marten track in the snow under the old box.2 juvenile males and a nice big yellow adult male.
Weather turned mild and the snow went away but the marten came back.

Yes 220 is a otter or fisher trap.
Also no 220 is certified under the aihts for marten.-would be illegal to set a 220 for marten.
