Can you use a 3/32 lock on 5/64 cable ? My favorite lock for fence snares is the smoothie lock and I can only find it for 3/32. I have lots of 5/64 cable, ferrules etc. just was curious to see if the locks were interchange able. Thanks

Should be fine, I've used them interchangeably before.

Yes. Might not lock up as well on the smaller cable but they should be faster.

This is what I have found. They work and hold but do not lock up all the time.

What is y’all’s favorite lock for snaring ?
I do prefer the non mechanical locks. 90% of my snaring is in the sheep fence

I use the old Thompson locks. I purchased many snares years ago so when they make a catch I just put in new cable. At the time those locks were size specific.
