Yeah....no he falls out or gets injured I will do everything I can to help. If that makes me a liberal fine I can PERFECTLY live with that.

That in NO WAY would make you a liberal.

That would make you a hero.

A conservative hero, at that. smile

If it's a safety issue voice it. If it's him and his health and he won't change or hear you nothing g you can do to change people he had Been told move on.

If it is a safety issue and the captain does not address it and you want to make your wife a widow trying to save a jack leg that's willing to put himself as well as w
everyone on the boat in danger well don't worry she is young enough she will be able to remary quickly.

Point is you can o ly do so much and it's not your responsibility after that.

maybe it won't be you that gets killed trying to save the guy maybe it will be someone else or multiple others that get killed trying to save him.

so if it a true
e safety issue get it addressed. If he wo t pay attention to you and it his health your worried about there is nothing else you can do.
Never said a thing about being a liberal. Spent the first 8 years of my working life in very dangerous high risk jobs. I don't have much patience with unnecessary risk. I have worked with 8 guys that are now dead died on the job As well as the guy that took mynplace 3 weeks after I quit the tower company. I was working for in on a job in Louisiana. I saw issues they were not addressed I quit. My replacement got killed.

You cared enough to bring it to his attention which is commendable. What he does with your advice is up to him. You've done enough. I don't think you are a liberal for caring. Weird, but not a liberal. wink

I think you are considering overstepping your boundaries. If you are genuinely concerned talk to the captain, or ranking officer. If it is a safety issue they will deal with it. If it is a health issue it is none of your business

It sounds like a personality conflict to me

I'm over stepping....by trying to tell him that crap is bad for him ? For pointing out that hay you shouldn't be nodding off the why he does if he's not gulping the crap down constantly..... That's over stepping ? Because really that's all I've done.

Not to mention I am over him part of my job is to train deckhands and make sure they don't get hurt and pull them to the side and try and put some sense in there heads . So no I'm not over stepping. Yes everyone on this boat knows.

Sorry I just prefer not to be a person to whine about how bad the next generation or whatever is without actually at least trying to help.

And honestly when I was his age if I didn't have someone do the same I'm trying j probably would have been a good bit worse off, because I was a dumb teen who thought I knew wah more then I did. And that God some of the older guys I world with or had in my life "over stepped" enough to try and help

Hard to believe a 19 y/o is unaware of the health risks associated with energy drinks. MYOB is my advice.

The devil made ya do it Trapperkeck!

Wolfie some ppl are barely affected by those things. They are like a swig of coffee to me. My boy who is your age gets heart flutters from 1/2 of an energy drink so he won't go near them.

I should do like 160 but I ain't no quitter! I run on caffeine, Copenhagen, and cheap cigars.
