Anyone have any firsthand experience with wolves attacking and killing lynx or wolverines on their line or otherwise? How about on grizzly young? Please share as this might be useful in future court battles against activist judges.

So I was sheep guiding in Denali National Preserve and had the Park Rangers camped near me one time. They came over to check on me and told me how they watched a pack of wolves near their camp surround a grizz sow with two cubs (we had seen previously) and try to take them down. Don't remember if they were successful, but I'm sure wolves kill cubs and the occasional adult, since a pack is top of the food chain.

P.S. Bears are vulnerable to wolves when they are denned. Just dig them out and crush a skull. Dinner served. I have only seen bears do this to bears though.

I have only had experience with the cannibalistic side of wolves. I figure it proves the “dog eat dog” saying true.

Lynx climb trees. Doubt wolves get many lynx. In 45 years living in various places of Alaska, have not heard or seen evidence of wolves killing wolverine

Agree on lynx, dont know about wolverine.
In winter wolves tend to hang around big prey like moose.
They dont expend valuable energy reserves going after small portions of protein.
In other seasons yes they will utilize smaller food sources like beaver that are easy to catch outside of freeze up
Where I am wolves are always found near moose in winter.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Wolves (and cougar) have caused the extirpation/extinction of caribou in Washington and Idaho in the past few years

I lived in WA state for over 10 years and never seen or heard of caribou there. Where were they?

The Minnesota DNR dealt with a bear maybe 15 years ago that had to be put down. Wolves had gotten to it in the winter den and pretty much ate the face off. They have the pics.
It was blind and the nose was gone. Poor thing took up residence in a honey collection area next summer and was dispatched there.
Often in wolf droppings in mid summer you can find black bear hair. I found a Blood spot and drag trail in a year old clear cut a few years back, circling the edges a sow with two cubs crossed only one set of cub tracks and sow left, and one of those two was bleeding.

Bucksnbears here can tell you first hand of a fresh battle between a bear and wolves. He followed it up in new snow. If I recall the bear lost. Ask him.

All of the above in northern MN.

If dead birds of prey at the bottom of windmills won't derail the green agenda, why would a dead cubs derail the wolf agenda? The important thing is the agenda, not the consequences of said agenda.

They definitely kill quite a few black bears but I would think Grizzlies are rare.
