Do you use one or two different lures for this set? Which lures have you had success with?

Any lure or bait you have good success within a dirt hole should work good on a t-bone. I have put bait in the spinal cord hole and a gland lure on the side before. T-bone sets around here don't produce that well. Some areas they work and others not so well. About the only time I use them now is if there is a bone pile close by, they have a low catching rate anywhere else for me.

If you can get them tucked away in a tuft of grass where they aren't really visible, they seem to perk the coyote's curiosity a little more.

SPC. good advice!
I have used white bones and the brown stinky bones!
You can lure up the bone first then jam it into a dirt hole. Always make it hard for the coyotes to pull it out.
A nice flat set can be made with a large flat rock. Bone and bait under the rock with some of the bone showing! Some gland lure on the rocks side closest to the trap. Many ways of doing it.

I’ve had great luck with bait and not lure at my bone sets pounded in. This one had a nice little hole to smear some bait in, then pounded it in just beyond the bedded trap. This set was in a picked beam field.
Just never had good response from lure only but a little smear of bait works better for me.
Jim

Bone got knocked out of the catch circle by this one. Easy remakes to pound it back in and add a little bait. Circle already has plenty to coyote smells.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I use bone sets 80% of the time with either lure or bait. They are deadly around here!

I put bait in the spinal cavity and a drop of gland lure on the side. T bones work great down here in Texas.

Try a smear of bacon grease on top of bone in conjunction with lure of choice.

Whatever you use, make them work to get to the smell.

I usually put my bait/lure in the spinal cord hole, way in.

Or I’ll smear it on the backside of a bone protected by the backing.

Never let em get a good sniff or taste easily.
