Anyone else suffer from these? I get auras a couple times a week but i dont get the migraines that used to follow them. Now I just feel kinda crappy all day long. I try to explain them to people that have never had one that it is like looking through half a kaleidoscope.

Usually I need to close my eyes in a dark room for about ten minutes and it goes away. I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be triggered by the refresh rate on my computer monitor. That is when it USUALLY happens.....but not always

Yes I get them occasionally. 3 or 4 times a year. Never had headaches associated with them. They usually last anywhere from a few hours to 2 days. Then it goes away as fast as it comes on. I've also woke up with the condition. Can't figure out what triggers it. Have never seeked medical advice over it. Have had this happen most of my life.

I suspect there is a relationship between the two. No idea if it is "cause" or just correlation.
Have you checked to see if that med has a side effect that might be related ?
What drug is it ? Im on Depakote for the migraines and Benazepril for the BP. My neurologist is aware of the Benazepril. He did want to up the dose a bit but I said I didnt want to go that route since it makes me tired as it is. We may have to explore other options.

I get them a couple times a week. I take 2 advil and 20 minutes later they are gone. Never got them until I reached 60. Seems like everything goes at 60.

I get migraines with auras and tunnel vision. My pupils become tiny when I get them.
I got my first migraine when I was 10 years old in the chapel in a monastery in California, after eating most of a huge honey dew. I didn't eat honey dew or cantaloupe again until a few years ago, close to 40 years. My second migraine happened in our parish church. I thought I was going blind when I had my first migraines.
They were frequent from 10 through my teens. As I've aged, they have become less frequent and of short duration. I usually don't get a headache. The big problem is I can barely see during one.
Keith Keith, this is what I go through. Usually no headaches but vision problems. In the past I would get an aura and head home from where ever I was since I knew the migraine was coming in about 30 minutes. Glad those days are gone.

Keith Here again I suspect it could be an odd light frequency as the trigger.........like me with the computer monitor. One usually imagines different lighting or lack of it in church type settings. Just spitballing Some light frequencies definitely make having a migraine more likely for me. Bright morning sunshine, through a car window, can cause a migraine. Keith

There are many migraine triggers but the most common ones are sugar and flour when turned into wedding cake,
