Bought a bunch of the Wolf Creek version and found out today that they will not fit the driver that I got with the ones I bought from F&T

They don't look any thicker but they will not fit in the grooves

So I am probably going to get a new driver for that reason AND because the one I have is just a rod with a real big nut and washer welded on the striking end
Needs are 24" and easier to get out of the ground after driving anchor to depth

What are y'all's thoughts on something like the Hammer Down with cable handle vs the T handles ones?

I don't have the book of faces so getting a Hammer Down may be a challenge
Also no idea on price and may be able to buy 2 T handle ones for the cost of the Hammer Down one

So let's hear some opinions and suggestions

Yep, a little grinding or really go at it with a file, which you still might want to do after grinding to square everything back up, is all you need to do.

What about tricks for getting the driver back?

Or will dressing the grooves up solve that as well?

used fangs for one season an that was plenty. could only reuse 1/4 of them after pulling due to bending. switched to super stakes an never looked back as I might bend or loose one in a 100

Take a file and square up the inside corners of the wolf fang. A couple strokes is all it takes.

I figure that driver has been hardened so the wolf fang may be easier to deal with

I use both with same driver both work just as good. Wolf creek ones gotta willgle the drive little bit more but gets the job done. I actually prefer the wolf creek one because I can connect them to trap with out and quick links. I just get the end run thru the last swivel put the fang thru that loop and tighten up. Holds coons and even held my coyote I trapped
