Any thoughts on how the favorable election results may impact this and future season’s fur prices. With a lot of fur reaching the international markets will DJT in office have us seeing better prices. I know the market varies, sometimes wildly from year to year. Just opening it up for speculation and discussion.

Your thoughts?

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

It didn’t help the last time he was in office.
It will have no bearing on the fur market imo.

If he could end the 2 wars that are going on, that might help.

If he is successful in imposing additional tariffs, countries will likely impose some sort of reciprocal tariffs on luxury goods from the US. So probably not good for the fur market. With that being said, I will gladly take that over the alternative.

If the war in Ukraine gets over soon, and sanctions on Russia get lifted, that sould help fur prices.

Can't say on fur but if he gets his tax cuts and inflation down there will be more spending money for folks.

It's not Americans' spending money that drives the fur market. If we get into a trade war with China it will hurt the fur trade. If we become all cozy with Russia again that would likely help the fur trade....maybe a lot.

This. I wanna see what he’ll do here. RU & Ukraine were a big market.
On the other hand, there’s another fancy jacket maker up here using fur, mostly ranch fox, but it’s fur. Moose Knuckles…..
