Went to set an alpha 2 today and realized the pan could bottom out on the base preventing the trap from firing. I have to bend the levers very far to be able to disengage the pan.
How do I remedy this? Wondering if it can be adjusted or if it’s too much material on the part that rests on the jaw?

Traps are dipped twice in FMJ

Theres an adjustment on the bottom of the trap that will allow the pan to move closer or farther from the jaws. If you move the pan farther from the jaw, it should fire it faster.
