I’ve been looking for a small stove to go in my 2nd man room. I think I’ve got this Morso 2B squirrel wood stove bought for $700. How or should I clean it up. I plan on using it but it’s also just something to make the room look better. Thanks

Is the bottom cracked or is it made that way? Otherwise it looks good and useable the way it is.

I’m waiting on that answer. I’ve seen pics of others that look similar

I have the same stove , with a heat exchanger top. Two pieces. Heat exchanger just sits on top. Lifts right off.

It has the same split on the side. It only goes in about a half inch , then stops. Built that way.

Check your exhaust/flue opening. Mine is a funny metric size , I had to buy an adaptor to convert to inches.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

They sell wood stove polish at Menards here. Works good. I just cleaned my stove with rag and warm water. Then applied polish. First fire outside is a good idea for curing polish and checking for other problems that may pop up. I’d start with slow fire outside then load up and damper down overnight for test run.

I have a Fisher that is different than youns two.
I lube hinges and air screws with powdered graphite.
One hinge hole is wallowed and NLA.
I replaced hinge pin with Chevy door pin
ten years ago.

I’m glad, a lot of that stuff you don’t know anything is wrong until you see it in person.
