Cool! I heard a 4 stroke thumping, how does yours stand up under the conditions? Do you keep the battery on a maintainer or bring it inside for night? Some need battery power to keep running too, do you bring a booster pack on the trail? So far I’ve heard good things, but I like my old trusty 550 fan, not too much to go wrong. Thinking my replacement machine will be a 4 stroke. Super good on gas!

Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew

Yeah they work great and the gas consumption is so low, i have mine winterized so down to -60 i just plug it in for half an hour and it fires right up. I dont bring in the battery unless the temps are at about -70. I am on my second battery in 5 winters. I do carry a gooloo jumper pack just in casr the battery kicks the bucket out there. Ive had all kinds of 2 strokes, Elans, tundra, bravo, skidoo 500, 550. Polaris 550. But this 4 stroke 600 ace is by far the lowest maintenance snow machine ive ever owned. Im in the process of getting a Tundra 600 ace right now. Hopefully the airlines will be able to fly it up by the end of next week

Yeah they are both Hudson Bay Axes. One is a Council Tool and the other is an older one my dad gave me when i was around 14 that has no brand or any markings on it. Both are awesome tools that i never go out into the woods without. Thanks for asking and watching, God Bless

Couple years back me and my boys when Edward was still alive. We did a program with youth. I bought them all axes and told them to bring them home sharpen them and bring them everywhere they go. They did they used them a few times. Then We did the main trip of the program. We went down into Rat River I stopped on top one of the creeks and told the boys grab there axes and go make a trail down into the River. There trail was not great and the snow in that part of the river was supper deep. But I think they apprettiated there axe that day. Because you never know the only caribou in 500km could be in a creek that you need an axe to get into.
