If I wasn't clear I use a buck standing behind the doe,as if he's getting ready to breed her,3D targets are used on my own property,I still have orange on them while I'm carrying them, then when there in there location I take the orange off.Decoys work bottom line...

Flambeau buck decoy here. I mix it up so the deer see a variety over the season. Most common I leave the antlers off and the ears up/slightly forward - not pinned back. I love the responses to it. I always set so its visible from a long distance. Young deer get very curious and seem to come right in - even though cautiously. The majority of mature deer stop and stare at it from a distance. Great for gun hunting. They come in to investigate and normally walk down wind of it to get a smell. I usually have it out at 15-18 yrds and that gives me a shot under 40yrds as they stand there sniffing.

Used with the antlers and ears pinned back is tricky. I get a lot of mid sized bucks stay at a further distance and watch for a long time. Mature bucks seem to either ignore it or come running in.

For me I've had every buck that's seen it with the exception of 3 come into bow range. Most sticking around for at least a couple minutes. Mines been attacked several times.

I have a Bedded Doe 3D and a standing buck and don't use them much...too bulky

If I could buy a New Renzo Folding Buck I would.

One time bow hunting in Wisconsin I had a 12 pt buck stand 10' ft from my Renzo buck decoy

I had no shot because It was in a Dumb earn a buck zone and I had not shot a doe yet

Not to over complicated it but I'd say the most likely place a shooter buck is going to be seen during hunting hours and they can see before they get right on top of it

EAB was responsible for a LOT of sad little flat heads getting shot barely out of spots.

or half a deer camp opening up on a doe so that they could shoot a buck

that was the legal stuff , some guys over by Muscoda got caught mostly cause they couldn't keep their mouths shut 5 guys registered the same little doe at the same gas station opening morning

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
