A lady customer brought a box of Tampax to the check out counter at a supermarket. The checkout lady couldn't scan the item as there wasn't any bar code on the packaging. So, she got on the store's intercom, "I have a lady customer who is looking to purchase a box of Super Tampax, but there isn't any bar code on the package. Can I get a price check on the item?"

A man working in hardware thought she said, "Thumb Tacks". He replied back on the intercom, "Ask the lady if she want's the kind you push in with your thumb or the kind you pound in with a hammer?"

When I was a kid there was a deaf guy named Lige Moore that worked in a full service gas station. He read lips. A lady stopped and asked if he had a restroom. He thought she asked for a whiskbroom and replied "Oh, just blow it out with the air hose":)
