I wasn’t going to set any traps due to deer season opener, but last minute said screw it and put in 9 canine set at 4 different locations. Already got a call from a neighbor who saw me putting sets in that he was worried about his coon dog. He has a blind set up on the line fence about 50 yards of my traps in the bottom. Not convinced he is worried about his hounds or his deer hunting.

He is a good neighbor, I told him to let me know if he will be running his hounds during deer season and I will throw the traps.

Go get m, I may take my pup afterbiit and kill a few coons may wait awhile to set out any traps. Tell your neighbor he's supposed to be hunting coons not checking sets.ive nev

Most of my landowners have asked that I hold off on setting out any steel until after the first firearms season is over.

I'm good with that because I want a deer or two in the freezer myself.
And also because I've been busy with work and don't have all of my traps waxed.
But on a good note, one of the landowners that we cut beans for this fall asked if I would come trap some predators out for him. Can't have to many places to trap !

Might set day after Thanksgiving.
