So I’ve only gotten out a couple afternoons all season with a new work situation..after having to wait on an appliance repair guy Monday, I got a pic of my one stand… kick in the nuts#1.

So I get out yesterday in a different area with a favorable wind and decide to take a doe at last light after waiting on her to turn broadside for about ten minutes. She ran off and stood in the field for ten more minutes not looking real good but not going down. A small buck ran her to the back ditch and it looked like she ducked down and he kept circling. I wait an hour or so and go to get her. She hops right up and bolts off. Apparently I shot low through the brisket. Virtually no blood and she just kept on going. Kick in the nuts #2.

Now there’s been a few pretty good deer on this edge and as I’m heading out I can see eyes shining at my stand and just knew… camera checks in and there was the trifecta.. kick in the nuts #3 in the same 60 minute period. He isn’t the biggest there but in a work shortened season, spooking any of them stung a tad.. you can see him looking at the flashlight in the field.

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

He’s a goofy one for sure. Wish I had more time to chase him. He’s pretty regular the past 10 days or so.
