depends on the flag and on the coyote. your question is to vague. must be ten thousand different things used for bobcat flags.

I’ve caught coyotes where I used flagging for cats . I used the sliver Christmas tinsel or orange flagging that the surveyors use just depends on the location.

I caught my first coyote when I was 12 years old with a #4 jump trap. I had a duck wing and some tinsel hanging 3 feet directly over the pan. I had no idea what I was doing at the time. It actually was probably a fairly decent bobcat set but coyote was my main target and it worked.

My last coyote catch was both front feet , looked like he jumped for the tensile i was using for flagging.
