That's ridiculous. We need to rid the country of the "liberals", who want to control everything and everybody. An 11 year old boy is plenty old enough to walk a mile to a store. I used to walk farther to fish when I was 8 or 9.

In this state the dogcatchers got a badge and a gun and flak jacket. Most counties have a sheriff dept, police dept, Marshall dept, code enforcement, school police and a dog catcher. All running around armed to the teeth.

And if you're in the metro or have a college throw in the city bus police and university police.

But I will say this of the guys in the green trucks. Every DNR ranger I've met has been pretty much a stand up guy. Can't say that of all of our biologists though.

I biked a mile to the store at 8 years old. To pickup 2 packs of smokes for my dad. With a note that said. The smokes are for my dad.
Then on the way back. Got a gallon of gas in a can. To mow the lawn.

Were those parents charged? If they were I hope they get a jury trial. Had to deal with social workers myself about 25 years ago. Long story short I never had to go to trial. Insisted on a jury. Social workers are scum.
