In my area some of them are very good trappers but lots of those are retiring. The new ones are not as good from what I have seen. I don't know what their pricing is but the county forests and some county highway depts around here contract them.

USDA charges $75,000 per county here. At least they did 5 years ago. I'm slowly getting back my lost customers who finally came to see the light. I have received call backs because they were unable to catch the last one or two. I always use snares in this case. Around here. I seen usda setups. They are always use conibers. The techs get paid roughly $35,000 to $40,000. So only need to catch one here or there occasionally.

Maybe all animal control should be privatized? Especially since legally government employees are not allowed to compete with private business. Maybe we need to flood Ramaswamy and Musks offices with letters?

I'm going to trap a neighbors place that was supposedly trapped by a USDA trapper earlier this year.
Neighbor showed me where she set. Didn't catch even one coyote. Sign and coyotes everywhere. Saw one cross a pasture while we were talking.
Maybe she was new. Maybe they've been pounded on and have seen everything thrown at them already?

Was it trapped in summer and a new ones moved in? I leave a cam up for a bit after I’m done. A few weeks ago, I noticed I’ve got a loner that made a small dam where I had “cleaned out” in late spring…lol. It’s never ending in certain areas around here. I “cleaned it out” again, and I guarantee you I’ll be there next summer!

In my limited experience with them up here, they set up, take the dumb easy ones and move on. I believe they rely heavily on Conibears because what they leave is square shy already.
I have nothing clever to put here.

This is my exact experience as well. They just leave the smart ones. Charge double anywhere the USDA has been....and leave the conibears in the truck.

They do not have to solve anything,,,, endless money. I did clean up for 5 years after we removed them from our drainage districts
