Forgot to mention breaking out the 280 for the sit 3.5 x 10 scope, most of the shots from that stand is under 70 yards. My 7MM Mag has a 6.5 x 20 scope too much power for those closer shots 3,5 to 4 power is perfect back in there.Going to try to get back to sleep, report to come later in the day. I find this interesting. Everyone does things differently for their own reasons but the first thing I do when I see a deer I am going to shoot at is crank the scope all the way up. I always leave it set on low power but always shoot it on high power. Most of my scopes are at least 10X on the high end, most are 14.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I am left eye dominant but shoot right handed with both eyes open so I have never had trouble finding them in the scope. Like I said, everyone does things different for their own reasons and it was just an observation.

It is snowing again here now. It shows snow on and off well into dark this evening plus. It showed all the way across ND. The last I heard it said heavier to the East, so MN my get some out of it.

No clue as to how much rain we got here but the rivers are up about 8" right now and it's difficult to distinguish the difference between land and water trapping...

I have changed over from land trapping to water trapping a few rimes with some sets. I once had a 220 conibear box set for coon and we got a big rain and the trap was well under water. It was staked, so I figured I had a good chance of finding the trap when the water dropped. Four days after the rain the water dropped and I could see I had a catch from across the river. The box was still there, which shocked me. When I got across the river and over to the set I see I had a beaver. I have no idea what the water level was when I caught it. The fur was full of silt. It always made me wonder when I got it. I have also had coon under water in conibear boxes.
