I haven’t been able to sleep thinking about these coyote traps lol

I am across the river in WV. Below is the two sets that worked for me last week and I use regularly.
I like farm ponds and gas wells. The sets are simple, I bed the trap out from the clump of grass, in the clump of grass I punch a hole then shove a hollowed out piece of corn cob as a lure holder. I set the traps up wind of where the coyotes will be coming from with the trap on the downwind side. I only use some lure in the corncob. I like a curiosity lure or call lure in there. Usually one lure at each set and different lures at a two set location.
At the gas well, I always do at least two sets, one on each side of the well sight.
The key is to keep it natural looking and in areas you know coyotes are or will be(location). I also find that a little lure goes a long way.
Right now I am not too concerned with the ground freezing. Right now I bed with Peat moss and native dirt. Come around end of December I will start bedding with wax dirt.

I’m going deer hunting soon and my uncle only had that day to show me how to shoot it. Also, I have sets that are still working I’m just freshening them up come this cold front

Thank ya, I passed up two does on youth gun season weekend cause I want a buck but the yotes and fox are everywhere around my deer woods so I figured I’d set some traps for em and see what happens

Please don't tell me how you keep it from escaping out the other end! It appears to be a female deer so I was half expecting to hear that even after it was dead it lips wouldn't quit moving.

lol…. That’s how we tag them … we have little rinky dink tags down here .. easiest to just tape them on
