So I pulled in the farm lane this morning to see and smell that the farm was covered in fresh liquid hog poop
I wasn't happy but not a lot I could do about it at that point.
I'm thinking I should pull them at this point and wait until we've had some weather to erase some of it
Anyone have any experience with poop covered sets?

Was that at the sheep farm?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Wouldn't hog poop improve the smell of a sheep farm?

If you don't have to walk around in that with a metal detector to find your traps. Considered your self lucky. I lost traps the the liquid manure 40 years ago.

Had a similar situation a few years ago only it was human waste from a septic pumping company.

Sure about that?
And if it was ,,, all human turds would have gone through a septic.
You had gray water...... if legal.

Gray water is water from the sinks and showers. Effluent water is what pumps out of a septic tank to the sand mound. All the ‘stuff’ in the septic tank does not break all the way down. Periodically it needs pumped out. Not sure on the legality of dumping human waste in fields. I suspect in needs to be taken to a sewage processing plant.

The farmers on the properties I trap all have my contact information. They will call me with changes that could effect my traps or trapping, going to spread manure, harvest, plow, etc.

I did have a half-dozen traps plowed under when a farmer turned over a pumpkin patch. It was my fault, I was late pulling the traps. After much searching I did find all six. They were mangled but I found them.

Eh...wot?

In PA human waste can be spread on fields.
Not exactly sure on the treatment before spreading it but it is legal here

I have the same setup with the landowner, it was a contract farmer that spread it
The landowner had no idea it was going to happen

In PA it is illegal to spread raw human sewage.

It is legal to spread treated biodolids on crop fields but it is heavily regulated.

Eh...wot?
