Been bouncing between 2.74 and 2.99 the last week. Found a station at 2.68 and filled up White Thunder.

10% gasohol is 2.59/gal cash or debit, the 15% gasohol (88) is 2.54/gal, reg 87 octane gas - no alcohol - is 3.24/gal. I use some 10% in vehicles but not tractors or small engines as the moisture is not good for those engines/exhausts. Keep in mind folks/experts that gasoline companies are allowed 5% impurities BY LAW with their product so what easy to obtain mixable impurity mixes with gasohol? ---------- WATER ------- so each gallon of it you purchase has a set amount of H2O allowed. Don't kid yourself into thinking that the hydrochemists did not get with the marketing folks on that years ago. The 88 gasohol is worse from that aspect. And the loss in mpg is well documented when compared to strict gasoline. We have several distilling alcohol plants for our abundat corn acres here and water is the enemy of their production. Keep in mind that court restrictions have dictated alcohol gas for the CLEAN AIR ACT since the 80's and slowly, begrudgingly the internal combustion designed engines catch up.
