I will pull prior to the spreading of manure and I don't trap that area again that season. IDK if that's a mistake or not.

Eh...wot?

IMO, pig manure is the smelliest of the manures.

Eh...wot?

I'll reset after the ground freezes.
My favorite time to trap, I call it the time of the two H's

Mine too, especially in previously used dirt hole sets. Just drop the trap in, give it a little wiggle and it's rock solid. I just never reset in manured fields. Do you see a change in critter activity one way or the other in manured fields?

What are the two H's?

Eh...wot?

The 2 H's are, Hungry and Horny. LoL

Fresh poop I don't walk around to look for signs
Typically by the time the ground freezes it's no longer an issue

When I trapped Indiana several years ago, I ran into to hog farmers that had extensive piping systems that ran into their fields from the collection pit. They would periodically pump the pit as needed. I had to deal with your situation on occasion.

When I heard that generator fire up you better get out of that area fast. I just left things alone as far as doing anything to my sets. What would you do anyway? I still caught coyotes in those sets. They sure didn't smell very nice.

I witnessed human waste being spread on fields in some areas also during that same time period. They tried to keep it quiet. That stuff was like black tar laying on the fields. When I saw those large yellow tanker trucks coming with spray out riggers on them I knew what was coming.

I was running my ATV lots in those days. That tar waste had my tires and fenders all boogered up. After a couple days I pulled all those sets. It was a good place for coyotes but too messy to continue on a daily check basis.

it should be hauled to a sewage treatment plant but you make double the money as long as you don't get caught putting it on a field.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Far as I knew when I was younger the only rule for spreading septic pumping was the truck can't stop moving one local guy got a fine when his truck got stuck and he spread with a hose he was moving the hose but still got the fine for the truck not moving. Might be different now

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

I've had Yote's crap on my sets before, but never the land owner!

Not exactly sure on the treatment before spreading it but it is legal here

Aperrantly it is legal here as I see the honey wagon out in several fields during late summer and fall.

Here in NY it's perfectly legal. They make furrows and it runs down it. Once all furrows are filled it's disced in and done again
