shorthair OP trapper S Joined: Dec 2006 Maine	How much snow before you switch to a snowmobile. How much will you push your 4x4 truck without chains. Thanks "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my traps for what I said I paid for them."

I will fire up the snowmachine as soon as I can.Here that means a couple inches of ice and a 4-6 inches of snow.Kind of rough at first but you need to pack the base for when the snow gets deep.A foot is about perfect for muskeg. You can run way more traps much faster and get into much better fur country when you trap from a snowmachine. Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
