How much snow before you switch to a snowmobile. How much will you push your 4x4 truck without chains. Thanks

I will fire up the snowmachine as soon as I can. Here that means a couple inches of ice and a 4-6 inches of snow.Kind of rough at first but you need to pack the base for when the snow gets deep.A foot is about perfect for muskeg.
You can run way more traps much faster and get into much better fur country when you trap from a snowmachine.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Takes a long time to unload and load that snowsled and alot of work at each stop.I will take the truck wherever possible around here anyways.Alot of miles on roads between beaver houses here.

Thanks. Snowmobile is not an option for me. Just don't want to get into a position of not being able to check or retrieve traps.

I would set beaver houses as close to the roads as possible. With all the beaver around it should not be a problem to find enough to set up close to the roads.
