Cant you tell the difference between a fisher and a mink,lol.

That skunk smell is probably scaring them away.

Bruce, I think Tom's -40 is some of the best marten lure made,it's also very good on fox,coyote,bobcat as a change up lure,the friut, castor and other ingredients is a great something different lure,wolves like it as well.Good luck Bruce on the trapline.

Northern Maine has a pretty good Marten right now, it's about the same latitude as southern Canada, and well up into Canada. Here we wait until December 1st when Wyoming Marten have a good dense cushion of under fur, as well as white leather. Anything caught before that goes to the tourist/crafter market, (for the savvy fur handlers).

I think i seen a couple posts of trappers who start trapping marten out west US October 1,those must be some thin flat skins for sure.
Marten prime early compared to other fur but I dont think that early.
