I have a Browning A bolt stalker that went sticky.

I used die-electric cleaner on it and it removed all of the sticky.

the rubber coating is sticky or the hinge ?

hinge make sure to cover the lenses well and hit the joint with PTFE spray

if it is the rubber coating , camo spray paint time. again mask off the lenses well

Have you used bug spray with DEET?

That stuff will cause equipment damage.

So will gun oil.

Had rem oil turn the rubber coating on a rifle scope gummy one time
