Believe it. This kid has got a LONG line and puts out tons of traps. Daily videos on Youtube.

He just said in the video he was hoping for 200 opening day, he fell short last year, 200 opening day is a long way from 1200 on day eight, that was all I said, there's no doubt the kid is on his game, but by day 3 the numbers fall and you pull out reset now your working against the weather, you run down in the ditch and someone's been there, last week was a full moon the catch drops off, 2-3 thousand in a season is possible but 1200 in the first 7 checks, well it's still hard for me to swallow. BB you've been there before, what's u thank?

He started trapping opening day, Nov. 2nd. (first check on Nov. 3rd) 1264 coon as of 15 hours ago on facebook. Check 7 of his "water line" put him over the 1200 mark I believe. Probably where the confusion came in. So only about 16-18 checks to get to 1264. 43? mink too I think he said.

Next gen is doing it. Its doable in iowa if you can move like him. I could, until I tripped one time! And "pogo" was just posting on the iowa trappers FB page a few weeks ago.

Geez, there is a name I haven't heard in a while. The last time I saw him at a convention, he came in during the middle of the night and drove OVER his 55 gallon barrel of dirt he used for his demos.

He's still alive and well... posts somewhat frequently on FB.

My convention memory is of him sitting at our campsite playing guitar into the wee hours of the morning....

In KS, I think that was.....

Thanks for that ADC, that's a pile of hard work and definitely a lot of self discipline.

Heck no wonder guy is able to catch that many. Got the sets made before season comes in. ALL the hard part of making the set is already done. Don't get me wrong. The work begins whin the skinning knife comes out. I'd hate to skin frozen con. Heck id check mine and skin them when I got out of the trap if I found a limb to throw a rope over. Easier to carry a pelt versus a whole coon. But I walked in to most of my areas.

Making most of your sets within a few steps of the road is how to rack up numbers.

U should be buying not trapping. U could buy a lot of whole coons for $10 rhen part them out and be making $40. Hook up with a couple of the guys catching a thousand plus and you could make 6 figures in one season

I think you can get about four per round if you use the 12 gauge and keep feeder full grin
