170 per check, at 50 percent catch ratio, that's 340 sets, twelve hours a day roughly 32 traps an hour that's less than 2 minutes per trap that's baiting or blind? Holy smokes! I can’t afford the truck to haul that!…..lol

I can believe over 2000 in a year, it's 1200 in 7 checks unless they weren't consegative checks, Believe it. This kid has got a LONG line and puts out tons of traps. Daily videos on Youtube. He just said in the video he was hoping for 200 opening day, he fell short last year, 200 opening day is a long way from 1200 on day eight, that was all I said, there's no doubt the kid is on his game, but by day 3 the numbers fall and you pull out reset now your working against the weather, you run down in the ditch and someone's been there, last week was a full moon the catch drops off, 2-3 thousand in a season is possible but 1200 in the first 7 checks, well it's still hard for me to swallow. BB you've been there before, what's u thank?

Pogo... That dude still kikn?
Geez, there is a name I haven't heard in a while. The last time I saw him at a convention, he came in during the middle of the night and drove OVER his 55 gallon barrel of dirt he used for his demos. He's still alive and well... posts somewhat frequently on FB. My convention memory is of him sitting at our campsite playing guitar into the wee hours of the morning.... In KS, I think that was.....

I wonder if Mike Anderson of Iowa is active this year. He broke over 4000 coon one year a few years ago working alone. He had switched to beaver and was catching them by the hundreds. Don't know what he's doing now.

He started trapping opening day, Nov. 2nd. (first check on Nov. 3rd) 1264 coon as of 15 hours ago on facebook. Check 7 of his "water line" put him over the 1200 mark I believe. Probably where the confusion came in. So only about 16-18 checks to get to 1264. 43? mink too I think he said. Thanks for that ADC, that's a pile of hard work and definitely a lot of self discipline.

Making most of your sets within a few steps of the road is how to rack up numbers. X2
