At least when it comes to putting up game feeders...

About the only way I can have any up without them getting destroyed is to make some kind enclosure to keep the cows out....well not the roll feeders for hogs but they don't seem to care about those much...

Two things I do:

Use cattle panels in kind of a circle. They push on the corners. I like how panels are rigid. Deer clear them easily too.

I've been switching to these feeders. The cows can't get to the motor. Wire a T post at each corner of the skid and it won't move. They're kind of pricey but nice.

I cuss my cows daily.

Cows are not our problem in WI, it would be bears, to many bears if we could use them!

Once the cows know there’s corn inside there, three loose strands aren’t going to keep them out for long. Cattle panels would work a lot better and go up faster. Without braced corners to make the fence banjo string tight, they’ll eventually just push through the barbed wire.
