Thanks for everyone's opinion, comments, advice.....reason I posted this thread was to get ready for catch at end of winter....have all my trap details....type of trip.....lure.......bait...etc......on paper...will be working on permanent location coyote trap on my property thru winter weather permitting...and have it ready to set early spring....the coyotes I'm dealing with are urban coyote....bred and born and grow around houses...traffic...fences.....city noises.......and smells.....and I feel are cage trapable......I respect everyone's knowledge and experience on this site of fur trapping....but think l'll be successful and will let you know in spring.....of 25 what went wrong or right......reason for trapping is I feel coyotes will be in Ohio same as in Boston Massachusetts attacking people and pets regularly, while I posting.....does anyone know why in northern ohio the dept natural resources and wildlife spreads edible rabies vaccine with planes for racoon.....is it due to overpopulation by not enough hunting and trapping of racoon...

I’m interested to see this trap, you going to make it like a drop trap for wild hogs or like a standard cage trap or whatcha thinkin?

Have 2 plans ......one like the ferral cat...trap,neuter, release....I've seen trap companies offer...only larger........one like the ferral hog trap....only smaller.......can't say too much.......there's a lot of sharp people on this forum.......and I plan to patent and or license.....if it works the way I think......I'm not a professional trapper......my only experience is racoon, possum, skunk, groundhog....that take up residence in barn....with coyote population growing fast.....I'm afraid to be outside walking after dark

all i can say is good luck getting a coyote or fox to walk into a cage trap yes its possible but on a regular nope
