Ever put a baited 110 on a hut? Low side just above the water line.

They usually have a ramp or trail on the side. Would place a few 110's on them and catch them with ease.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

If it were me, I would be using 1 1/2 coil springs. I see a lot of refusals with exposed 110s.
A 1 1/2 coil set just under water at those pull outs will catch you some rats. And you can make your own pull outs by creating a spot on the hut and slicking It up a bit.

After freeze up we used to open the hut and put a couple 110s inside then seal up the hut.
Always had a rat or two each check.
Nothing looks nicer than a big dry rat on the snow.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

There's a few huts on the pond by my cabin I'm going to go set whenever I find some spare time this week. I've always put a #1 or #1.5 in there and gave them enough slack to get down into the water, I'm gonna try some 110's this time
