Got some fur today smile Picked up another marten at the same set I caught the first one of the year.

2 yotes which surprised me, didn't expect anything to really run with the weather we were having.

Had the dangest thing happen today, rolled up on a bait station and as I went to hop off the sled I saw movement in the trees, sure enough Mr Marten was hanging out there! Left a surprise for him smile

Way to start! Do you have pitch problems when the marten hang next to the tree trunks? Don't know if it's an issue where you are. If I made a set near a spruce tree in southeast, it was pitch for sure.

Just doing what I want now.

I know what you mean viking, I'm from down there, it does get pitchy. Not really an issue where I'm at now, but it could be if we had a warm spell I suppose

AV I hung him there, it was on the other side of the box when I rolled up. I never had a problem with pitch but know what you mean.

Good run today. Picked up a nice cross fox

2 marten, of course one had to jump on the pan of a #4

And a little less the half a yote.

I have never had cannibalization on my line so this was first for me, The other yotes has trails packed down pretty good!
But...... I ran light today because I wanted to drop my marten gear. I cant count the number of sets were the marten came up to the set and dance under it.
So I left the tote that had all the snares at the house, I will get it next run.

Ended this evening with a pretty sunset 🙂
