Ran yesterday, left the house just as it started snowing and finished running with it still coming down. Perfect 1-3inches enough to hide my track Picked up another cross, 2 mink and the worlds smallest ermine





Put in a bunch more otter gear and hoping things start moving now that it is a little cooler.

Got lucky and picked up a moose off the trapper list. Poor girl was all skin and bone.



Picked up a nice yote on todays run. Dropped a bunch more gear and saw plenty of track.



A chinook blew in, wind is howling and the temp is at +38n right now, Hope it dont last long!

Yeah Bruce a bait moose. Looks like old girl keeled over right beside the road which was nice for a easy recovery. If the troopers don't know what killed it they call fish and game and they contact a trapper to pick it up. Slow year which honestly aint a bad thing, our moose numbers are pretty down after the past few hard winters.

Timber Tramp picked her up on Willow Fishhook, Hatcher Pass.

Chikenminer I been using sheep/goat/ and pig guts, that's all I could score so far this year so the bait stations are pretty slim., only running 3 this year. Going to wait till it cools back down before I top them off so the fang birds dont wipe me out!

The South Central Chapter of the Alaska Trapping Association (SCCATA) Has some pretty good classes coming up next month with some dang good knowledgeable instructors!! Please help get the word out!

Well it has been a pretty rough month here. The weather has not been cooperative at all when it comes travel or trapping. The fluctuation in temps and rain has been my nemesis this year for sure. After the last wind storm we had this greeted me at my trail head.................



This pic was taken last week, since then we have had more rain and temps in the high 30's low 40's. Running on ice is pretty hard on my body to say the least! Some areas I am running on bare tundra.



Have picked up a little fur.







You can't beat seeing sun rises like this..........

Keyo did a wolverine fur handling class for the South Central Chapter ATA. his put up skills are pretty dang impressive!



Ken Soik did a presentation on putting up marten for the chapter as well. Hands down the way he does it makes me wonder how many top lot certificates he has gotten over the years



Got all my fur turned in for the Fur Rondy auction!



Hoping we get colder weather here soon and maybe some snow.
