Awesome photos. I’ve been following all these Gulo threads and have settled on snares being a huge asset. I am curious. Some of these baits seem really high. Obviously need the hanging height but how are you getting them up that high?
Are you standing on the back of your machine to get the bait that high? Or are you scurrying palm tree coconut style? Hauling a collapsible ladder?

Bronco, that loops looks pretty big. Also pretty low. Maybe its your pic? I set the snare with an 8 in. loop, 8 in. off the tree, or the ground.

Seems to me the bottom of the snare should be at least 3"-4", (or more?), up off the leaning pole or hip catch is almost sure to happen. Not sure about loop size. I never set snares for gulo.


Just doing what I want now.
