That trap adjusting tool I’ve been meaning to get, j hook tool, more coon grabbers ; a different flavor ( I like them cause I can set them up the night before), the lure Savell recommended for grey fox, heavy duty drags as recommended by Flipper56 because I’m having a hard time staking in a certain area (gonna have to study on these) blades for my deer hunting knife, and a free gift DVD.

Thank the Lord you picked wolf fangs for your first drags. Whold different animal compared to them cheap lil grapple hooks

Savell that’s why I bought more chain. The cable stakes are great but I have to fight too much

More a better design vs just being big grin why not have something that will dig into grass AND catch on brush vs one that will just catch brush ?

So you guys don’t just bury the drags?

Sometimes. If the digging is real easy. If you bury one, bury the drag completely. Then coil the chain at the end of the drag the chain hooks to. You want the drag buried under the chain so that all the chain comes out without catching on a drag point. Once the drag is completely buried and the chain coiled ontop the dirt, bury the chain too.

If you prehook one to something cover a couple feet of chain with dirt then just lay a stick or two on the chain to disguise it. if you dont prehook or bury your drag at the set, cover it the same way I worry more about humans seeing it than hiding it from animals.

Stoop might be kind of a “hunky” term. Wherever the threshold is where the door meets the sidewalk or porch or what have you!

Cool! You’re like me, I like to order a bunch of different trinkets…lol. Hey, can you tell this dummy what those “coon grabbers” are for? Just a plug for the top of the DP to protect the bait or what?

You big dummy! (Lol! Had to sound like Fred Sanford there)
They are scented sorta silicone little grabbers that go under the trigger and give the raccoon something to feel for. I still use a sweet lure like milligans tutti fruity or black Jack to bring them in close. This is my first year using them and they did the trick and are re usable! I don’t have to worry about marshmallows spilling out or dog food getting wet.

Stuff gets tangled it takes awhile to untangle it all. Rare that its hard to find one. If you look you can see where the drag went up that little bank. Look close you can see chain all wrapped around stuff

I always put a piece of pink fluorescent surveyor tape on the end of the grapple. Animals like to hide in cover and some will climb trees. Sometimes they can travel father then you think so just look for that pink tape and if it falls off at least you know which way it went.
