Correct. You looped it around a tree and stuck the ferrule and washer through the slot on the tree lock.

This is off the F&T site. I use them a lot on my beaver traps and cat traps. Like said wrap cable around tree and throw the cable stop thru and it’s locked. I like the heavy duty ones for what I do.

The best dang anchoring idea ever! I’ve got something similar on all my 330s. Certainly not for wolf, but fast & easy to get some quick beaver sets along the road.

I've been using them on dps and #11s water trapping. It's so fast kick in a pocket or slap some bait on a rock then wrap these guys around a root, pound it a tangle stick in deeper water and go. Muchuch better than fidling with a quick link with gauntlets or coke wet hands

I have them on all my snares. The large hole in them for the crimp to go thru lets you drive a stake to secure them if you need to. I have only ever had one come loose and that was from a small dia attachment where they don’ t get as good a grip. A 45 bend in the cable 1/2” from end crimp or double wrapping cable attachment helps the crimp to lock tighter. Give them a pull when you place them to secure. I carry a pliers because many are locked too tight when removing.
