Billkil1187 OP trapper B Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 125 Jamestown N.Y.	I was thinking of trying to make a base for my bait out of bacon grease… how do keep it from spoiling or rotting? How would I preserve fermented eggs? Would salt work? Thanks for the help in advance!!

E.J. Kelley trapper E Joined: Mar 2021 Posts: 564 Wyoming	Will bacon grease get kind of a rancid smell after in formulation? I made a bite and pull lure and didnt want any man made products in it. Its sat for a couple of years now and i pick up an odd pungent rancid smell.. Maybe I cant get by without some preservative?
