Call me crazy, but talking to those out loud that are no longer with us is very therapeutic to me. I seem to make the connection best at their gravesites while often sitting in my truck with the windows down. My mom and brother are on my right, my grandparents on my left. I tell them how I miss them, thank them for all the great times and memories, and tell them how I look forward to seeing them again someday, but I am not ready to cross over to their side yet. I have too much to do on this side. I have been known to shed a tear or two, but my soul is lighter after I do this. I do it often on holidays and sometimes in between. Before you laugh at me, sometime when your heart is heavy give it a try. Just go to the graveyard when no one else is there so people dont think you are crazy. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I have a lot to be thankful for. I will be heading to the cemetery soon. Bless you all.
