Back at A&M at the Dixie Chicken, we would tell the beer maiden we wanted a Blue Boy. Pearl and Falstaff were not highly thought of. To the point of rumors that the contents of the urinals were bottled as such. Shiner was the cheapest back then at 35 cents each. Then Old Milwaukee. Those big mouth keg shaped bottles. Every now and then Shiner would bottle Bock.
we enjoyed Lucky Lager in bottles ~ the caps had interesting puzzles to solve
That took me back, like to when I was 10. Lucky’s and Vitamin R.
You'll appreciate this then mad_mike The day Rainer filmed this, my old hunting partner was fixing fence. they asked him if he'd mind them filming, he said no, to go ahead. later that day they came over and gave him a 6-pack~ then kicker . . . it wasn't his property, it was the neighbors! Have a Good One!

Back in the day, they used to sell Pabst in 7 oz. returnable bottles, 35 to the case for six dollars. That was back in the early 70's when I was in high school. Buddy of mine had a 64 Caddy Sedan that fit 3 guys in the front and 2 guys in the back with the case just right. Many a road cruise in those days. Old Style had a better deal, 36 8 oz. bottles for the same price which worked fine too. A feller would likely get in trouble for that these days.
Started out drinking warm Wiedeman that sat in the hot sun in the back of a pickup truck while we bailed hay in summer. My drinking career didn't last long.
