We’ve made several over the past decade. We just add a couple loader buckets of gravel to the bottom for ballast, & build above that. We have never painted as most are from the 60’s and 70’s and still holding strong. They will till be good for another 30-40 with a roof over the top to keep the elements from working on both sides. They make excellent blinds if built correctly. Up here dual paned glass is important to keep fogging to a minimum. Word of advice, before leaving it in its desired spot. Take the time to dig out a shallow trench behind or in front of each tire and roll into for the final spot. Keeps things from wanting to move in big storms, trench only has to be 6” and will stop from rolling.

If a guy were inside it when it decided to take off, that could get exciting!

I have nothing clever to put here.

I have a spot that needs a new stand built. I will cut out the spot this winter while the swamp is frozen. The stand will be 5x5 (Possibly 6x6) and the floor will be roughly 7 feet in the air. The sheeting will run all the way down to the ground and there will be an outhouse enclosed under the stand. 3/4 of a mile is too far to walk just to answer the call of nature.

I have nothing clever to put here.
