Deer seem to always be around area treated 1st couple of days with store bought coyote urine.......is it a natural attractant .......or is there something added to bottle

Deer are attracted to the salt.

It has nothing to do with salt, it has to do with the actual smell of the urine. Deer are naturally curious and any type of urine will get their attention. I did some work for a deer biologist and I learned a lot from him about just how curious deer are. I have been recently hunting a stand deep in the swamp on a small island. When hunting it I urinate off the stand. What I find interesting is deer will get a whiff and come to the island to investigate. They are not digging like they normally would for salt, but just putting their nose to the ground and getting big snoot full of the smell.

If I am trapping in an area that is highly populated with deer, I stay away from 3 things: any type of urine, lure made with beaver castor, or lure made with Tonquin musk.

Trappeur Gunny is right about deer curiosity, they will even check out fresh dug dirt walk up and sniff.
